Gardai are investigating an alleged assault over the weekend in Ballyconnell.
On Sunday morning shortly after 1am, gardaí responded to reports of an assault on Main Street in the town.
A man in his 20s was treated at the scene and was subsequently taken by ambulance to Cavan Hospital.

It’s understood the alleged victim was set upon as he walked along the street. Gardai say no arrests have been made to date and investigations are ongoing.
