Investigations underway after women's body discovered in Meath

An investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found in Ratoath, Co Meath yesterday evening.

The discovery was made shortly after 6pm.

There's a small garda presence here this morning at River Walk Court, where the woman's body was discovered yesterday evening.

The Garda Technical Bureau have arrived, and the area has been cordoned off.

The body remains at the scene, while a post mortem examination is expected to take place at some stage today.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and remains in garda custody.
