Lidl met IFA following protests outside Cavan and Monaghan stores

Lidl management met with IFA members on the back of protests held outside stores in Cavan and Monaghan last week.

Farmers were demonstrating against the sale of poultry products at discounted prices and the impact this was having on producers and farmers.

IFA President Tim Cullinan and Poultry Chairman Nigel Sweetman said there were positive outcomes from the discussion.

Nigel Sweetman told Shannonside Northern Sound that there was an understanding about how serious the situation was.
