A Cavan Senator has called for increased investment in the Post Office network to help them survive.
Figures released last week show 11 post offices in Cavan and Monaghan have closed in the last 10 years.
According to the data from An Post, Cavan has had the most closures in the region, with seven post offices closing permanently in the last decade.
While in Monaghan, four post offices have closed in the last 10 years in the county.
All of the post offices closed were in rural areas.
