A Clones councillor is calling for the reinstatement of an ATM which was vandalised in the town last month.
The independently owned machine stationed at the former Ulster Bank building at The Diamond in Clones was targeted by criminals and a sum of cash was taken.
One month on since the vandalism and the area where the machine was located remains boarded up.
Cllr Pat Treanor says he is "unsure" of future plans to reinstate the ATM as that would come down to a private contract between the new owners of the building and the company who installed the ATM.
Despite this, on a personal note the local representative says he would "love" to see an ATM return to the town centre.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Treanor says the community of Clones has lost enough of its services and the loss of an ATM at The Diamond is "negative" for the town.
He told Northern Sound: "This vandalism has removed another facility out of the town and it's scandalous that criminals would come and try and break into it. While it remains boarded up since it was vandalised last month, I would like to assure anyone coming to Clones that there are still a number of ATM's in Clones Town for people to use."
