A local community has rallied around a Cootehill business owner following a devastating fire in recent days.
Significant damage was caused to Sean's Dinner following a kitchen fire last Friday the 13th of March.
Sean Igoe has been a business man in town for 50 years and says he is bowled over by the response from the community.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to get Sean’s Diner back on their feet and back serving the community and opening their doors in the coming weeks.
Sean Igoe and his family have been serving food in Cootehill since the 1970s.
Sean paid tribute to the fire crews from Cootehill and Cavan Town, whose swift and professional response helped bring the blaze under control quickly. On top of the Go Fund Me, there are a number of fundraising initiatives already underway to support the business.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Sean says while the day of the fire will be etched in his memory, the support he has received since the aftermath of the fire will never be forgotten.
