Following complaints from members of the public, Monaghan County Council has introduced increased awareness of the dangers of dog fouling.
According to the local authority, concerns were raised about dog fouling in the Monaghan Town area, including in Belgium Park and Latlorcan.
The council's Environmental Services are reminding dog owners of their responsibilities.

The areas in questions were visited by the dog and litter warden, and a mailshot was issued.
