A local councillor has condemned a far-right protest which took place in Co. Cavan yesterday.
The gathering in Drumalee promoted Zionism and participants, who were of Eastern European descent, claimed they were neo-Nazis.
According to Sinn Féin councillor Stiofán Conaty, attendees were asked why they were displaying Israeli flags, following which a violent altercation ensued.
He says all political opinions are welcome, but a line must be drawn on hateful ideologies:
