A Co Monaghan councillor is encouraging all motorists to be "mindful" this summer of horses on local roads.
As a horse owner herself, Cllr Sinead Flynn said she has been been approached by other horse owners in relation to this issue. Given the time of year, with brighter evenings and warmers weather, Cllr Sinead Flynn says she knows all too well how dangerous it can be when a horse is startled. Cllr Flynn is calling on all road users to be "mindful" for the safety of both motorists and horse users.
