A local councillor has described no response back to a motion he brought to the roll out of a free vaccine to prevent shingles as disgraceful.
Cllr Clifford Kelly called on the HSE to introduce free of charge vaccines to anyone over the age of 50 years of age.
Currently in the UK, over 55 can avail of a free vaccine against shingles.

Cllr Kelly said he knows of people living locally that has suffered very severally especially later in life with the illness.
He said the pressure needs to be put on the HSE over this matter.
