A local farmer has said that the IFA has not ruled out the idea of protesting, amid rising dairy costs by retailers.
Drumhowan farmer, Martin McElearney has raised the issue of prices, after a number of retailers, including Lidl, Aldi, and Tesco, announced price cuts to dairy products.
In a statement last week, Lidl Ireland said it will pass on €5 million in savings to shoppers "as global commodity costs stabilise".
The price of a standard 2-litre carton of milk will drop to €2.25, while a 454g (1lb) block of Irish creamery butter will be reduced from €3.39 to €2.99.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the IFA's dairy chair said that the farmers organisation has not ruled out the idea of protesting.
