Local Gardai will be focusing on catching drink-drivers this Bank Holiday Weekend.
With today being St Patrick's Day, and an extra Bank Holiday on Friday, it's expected that roads will be busier than usual.
Sergeant Niall Leech from the Cavan-Monaghan Roads Policing Unit says they've a "considerable number" of checkpoints scheduled for the region's roads over the coming days.
