A local guidance counsellor is reminding students that there are other paths into careers.
Leaving Cert students across Ireland have received their results this morning.
In Cavan 909 pupils sat their Leaving Cert with a further 97 enrolled in Leaving Cert Applied.

While in Monaghan there were 781 Leaving Cert students and 66 Leaving Cert Applied students who got their results this morning.
Gerry Reilly is a guidance counsellor in St Macartans College in Monaghan and PRO of the North East Branch of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.
Speaking to Northern Sound he said the results today are not everything and there are alternative pathways.
