Local IFA pig and poultry farmers are protesting in Cavan this morning.
The protest will be attended by farmers from both counties in the region and will start at 11am.
Their aim is to secure an increase in product prices in order to offset increased input costs.

A spokesperson for farmers said that an increase of 2 cent per egg and 15 cent per chicken would ensure the survival of the sectors in Cavan and Monaghan.
