Tributes have been paid to a local man who was killed in an incident involving a quad in Co Cavan yesterday.
Padraig (Paudie) O'Reilly, who was aged in his early 40s from Bawn in Killeshandra was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Reilly’s body was removed to Cavan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have confirmed to Northern Sound that an investigation has been launched into the fatal incident.
It's understood the incident involving a quad occurred on a farm in Killeshandra. Tributes have been pouring in following the death of the father of two. One person posted online said Paudie was a true character, while another described him as a very special man who will be missed by all who knew him.
While another person said Paudie was a real character who always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help, adding we can’t think about Paudie and not smile. No funeral arrangements have been announced as of yet. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam.
