Speaking to Northern Sound, he outlined the importance of motorists staying safe this weekend: "The Gardai have their campaign up and running as normal. Particularly this weekend road conditions are worst than normal due rainfall, particularly on roads in South Monaghan. If you come across a road that is flooded, don't drive through it and get stranded as that could be the end of you car if water gets in your engine. "
