Two men with a local link who once represented Ireland in the Eurovision have been giving their input following last night's semi-final.
Tommy and Jimmy Swarbrigg, originally from Cootehill, represented Ireland in the singing competition in 1975 and 1977.
The 1975 Eurovision followed ABBA's 1974 win and drew huge audiences across Ireland at the time.
The pair noted that the Eurovision has changed over the years, saying it once had a strong focus on live performance and could transform artists' careers overnight.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, they noted the competition is more political now.
