All roads lead to the capital today for the 2025 Dublin Marathon.
The 44th staging of the event is over the course of 42 kms of the city streets.
A number of people from the region will be competing in the annual event.
Two Monaghan men, Jack Drumm and Jack Treanor are taking part in the gruelling challenge.
They are raising money for the Irish Heart Foundation.
Jack Drumm says its a charity close to his heart.
Meanwhile, local fitness coach, Colm McEneaney from Carrickmacross says the annual event is a major challenge for everyone that takes part.
