Cavan-Monaghan TD Cathy Bennett is calling for urgent action on the rise of bovine TB.
She says the incidence rate has almost doubled, rising from 3.72 to 6.4 percent.
The Sinn Fein TD is criticising the government for losing EU funding for eradication efforts and says it needs to be held accountable.
She warns farmers and taxpayers are left footing the bill for ineffective policies.
Deputy Bennett says the current government must finally get to grips with the crisis.
Speaking to Northern Sound, she said it's just not good enough.
