A local TD for Cavan and Monaghan says her party is working hard to canvass for its candidates in the upcoming by elections.
Cathy Bennett was speaking in response to an opinion poll released by the Irish Times today in relation to the Galway West By Election.
She is emphasising that opinion polls are not always accurate, and past examples have shown that outsiders can perform strongly.

Deputy Bennett also spoke on the prospects in Dublin Central, noting that she has faith in the Sinn Fein candidate there to do very well.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, she notes that all parties have to answer questions following elections.
