A local TD has welcomed the announcement of over €1 million for men’s sheds across the country.
Minister Niamh Smyth paid tribute to all the members of the local groups who she says do so much for their communities.
She made the comments as funding for 14 men’s sheds were announced this morning for Cavan and Monaghan along with others right across the country.
10 of them in Cavan and 4 are in Monaghan.
Grants of up to €3,000 have been available to assist men’s sheds with their running and operational costs such as heating, utility and insurance bills.
Minister Smyth welcomed the announcement.
