Locals from the Northern Sound region have the opportunity to seek advice or sell any pieces of gold or silver that they may have lying around the house.
Shane Crossan of Crossan Jewellers based in Buncrana, Co Donegal will make his service available to locals this week.
With no appointment needed, Shane says the gold can be in any from gold teeth to gold coins, broken jewellery or jewellery that's been sitting idle for years as well as silver pieces.
Shane offers people advice on the worth of the jewellery, and can offer advice as to where people can go if their jewellery is too good for sale as opposed to scrap gold.
Clinics will be available this week in Cootehill, Carrickmacross, Cavan, Castleblaney and Monaghan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Shane says gold is at a "record high" due to wars, tariffs and fallen US dollars.
Shane will be at the Errigal Country House Hotel Cootehill, tomorrow between 1pm to 6pm. The C-TEK building on Wednesday and the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan on Thursday, between 1 to 6pm. He will also provide a clinic at the Íontas centre, Castleblayney on Friday and the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on Saturday.
