The nationwide Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning has been extended until midnight on Thursday.

Met Eireann has also issued a separate 24-hour Status Yellow snow and ice alert, which will come into effect at 12 o'clock this afternoon.
The weekend's cold snap has resulted in power and water outages across the country, and the ESB is warning further outages are expected. Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says people need to prepare for blizzard conditions for the rest of the week.
