The primary challenge in the real estate market is the supply shortage, with properties selling quickly within four to five weeks.
That's that view of Ballyconnell based auctioneer James Spring.
He says this issue has been ongoing since the end of the Celtic Tiger era but was exacerbated by the pandemic, leading to increased demand from people relocating from urban areas to rural ones due to remote work.
This has intensified competition, especially from buyers moving from higher-priced areas like Dublin and the West Coast to more affordable locations.
The demand has also shifted, with more people from across the country and even abroad showing interest in properties.
