Uisce Éireann is advising residents of supply disruption in Blacklion and surrounding areas.
A significant burst on a water main in Blacklion is affecting supply to a number of properties in the area.
Uisce Éireann crews have completed initial investigations, and it involves a complex repair to a large water main.
An alternative water supply is in place adjacent to Lough McNean playground on the N16 Sligo Road tonight.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure, as per advice from the Health Service Executive.
Uisce Éireann’s Peter Gallagher has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while we work to return water supply,” said Peter.
