Gardaí investigating the fatal road traffic collision involving two lorries that occurred on Monday 6th November 2023 on the R188 (in between Cootehill and Rockcorry) where a man aged in his 40s was fatally injured arrested a man yesterday morning in relation to this investigation. The man, aged in his 30s, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the Monaghan District. He has since been released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Investigations ongoing.
