Local Gardaí have confirmed that a 58-year-old male has passed away following a work place accident in Co Cavan.
The incident occurred at the premises of 'Coolrite' refrigeration where the man was an employee in Bailieborough, at around 4pm yesterday.
In a statement to Northern Sound, Gardaí confirmed that the deceased man was from Kells in Co Meath.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cavan Mortuary where a post-mortem examination is being carried out today.
Investigations by Gardaí and officers from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) are ongoing.
