Gardai are appealing for information after a man in a balaclava forcibly entered a home in Cootehill.
Gardai in Bailieboro are investigating the burglary which occurred in Doocarrick, Cootehill.
The incident occurred on Saturday the 28th of February at 7:30pm.
The homeowner woke to hearing a door being forced open.
As the homeowner opened their bedroom door they encountered a stocky male wearing a balaclava.
The culprit was spooked and ran from the property.
Nothing was taken from the property but the homeowner was shook.
