A follow-up public community meeting was held in Carrickmacross last night.
It comes after a similar community forum was held back in May, at which people highlighted a wide range of issues they said have been impacting the town.
Local TD Matt Carthy hosted the meeting at the Shirley Arms and has said this was a commitment that he had made when he addressed the previous event earlier in the summer.
The issues of migration and what was being done to address people's concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour were raised at the last meeting.
According to the local Sinn Fein TD the event last night was about taking stock from the information that was gathered from the last time. Deputy Carthy says there is still a a lot of challenges to deal with in the area but he says highlighting them and putting a spotlight on them is a beginning. The Carrickmacross native says there has been improvements but there is a lot of work still to do.
