Gardai are appealing for information after two men in balaclavas attempted to gain entry to a home in Mullagh.
On the 3rd of April at the gates of Mullagh shortly after 11:30am, a homeowner was in his bedroom when he was disturbed by a bang on the window.
The homeowner pulled back the curtain and observed a make with a balaclava.
Further banging was heard at the back door and a second man wearing a balaclava was attempting to gain entry.
After the homeowner shouted the men fled on foot.
Gardai described this experience as "extremely frightening" for the homeowner and are anxious to hear from anyone with information.
Gardai are also investigating a separate incident which occurred in the Mullagh area.
On the 30th of April at 3am a homeowner woke to a noise outside.
A male was observed fleeing on foot and damage was caused to a window.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious persons to contact them.
