Counties Cavan and Monaghan are included in the figure of €436 million announced for social homes by the Minister for Housing today. James Browne said the total includes €325 million for local authorities for second-hand housing acquisition.
231 social houses will be delivered in 13 counties including Cavan and Monaghan.
€111m is for 82 new social housing projects which will provide over 1,300 newly built homes with a total development cost value of €517m. The approvals issued in recent weeks provide funding in 2025 to progress 82 projects which will deliver 1,325 homes by 2027 to areas including 542 in Dublin, 58 in Meath and 30 in Kilkenny.
