Minister Norma Foley has today announced the establishment of a new Family Resource Centre in South Monaghan.
The announcement is part of the expansion of the Tusla National Programme for 2025.
Carrickmacross was one of five locations selected nationally.
In addition to this, the new centre will receive a funding allocation of 160,000 euro towards its development.
Welcoming today's announcement, Senator Robbie Gallagher praised the family resource centre in Mullaghmatt which has been going since 2001, providing inclusive support to families.
With 153 people currently on the paroll in Teach na Daoine, he hopes that the new centre in Carrickmacross will have similar success to the one in Mullaghmatt.
