Monaghan Local Community Safety Partnership recently concluded its public consultation period for he Monaghan Community Safety Plan 2026-28.
Local residents and stakeholders were encouraged to take part in the consultation process.
As part of the consultation, a Community Safety questionnaire was available online on the Monaghan County Council website and over 500 responses were received
As part of the consultation the Community Safety staff visited twenty-four local community groups, and gave presentations, along with assisting with the completion of questionnaires.
Visiting the groups ensured that a diverse range of voices were considered including young people, disability groups, older people, women's groups and our migrant population.
It is planned that the first Monaghan Community Safety Plan will be published in September.
