A Co Monaghan garden designer is designing a show garden at Bloom for the fourth time this year.
Declan McKenna is the in-house designer at Silverstream Landscapes in Monaghan.
Declan was a finalist in the Horticulturist of the Year 2012 and competed in the 2013 series of RTÉ’s Super Garden.

He has designed and built award-winning Show Gardens at Bord Bia Bloom in 2015, 2023 and 2024.
This contemporary garden that be is creating this years is a carefully composed retreat designed in collaboration with fashion designer and television presenter, Brendan Courtney.

Declan says it’s great to be back this year again when Bloom opens to the public towards the end of the month.
He says between now and then there is a lot of hard work to get through.
