A Monaghan woman says she would encourage other women with a desire to get a HGV licence to just go for it.
Deirdre Bogan from Clones passed the test to drive a lorry this week.
Her interest in learning to drive the heavy good vehicles stems and lorries from watching her father and two brothers drive lorries.

Deirdre said that while female lorry driver would still be in the minority, but the numbers are building.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning offered this advice to any woman thinking about following in her footsteps.
