A Co Monaghan man is on a mission to help community groups and charities the length and breadth of the country to not only upskill but also create vital revenue that will keep them financially afloat for years to come.
Seany McCleary of Streat School has revolutionised the Irish Street Food scene since launching in 2019.
Born from the frustrations of Seany and Nikita McCleary (Blasta Street Kitchen) as they started their own Street Food business and struggled to find available resources and support.
Streat School created a one stop shop for aspiring entrepreneurs and has successfully helped small businesses as well as national brands turn their ideas into reality.
There is over 460 Streat School trucks positioned across the globe.
One food truck in particular was shipped as far as Ukraine, and was set up for a catholic ministry to offer free meals on the frontline.
Aside from start ups, Seany said the school is now helping community groups, sports clubs and charities generate multiple revenue streams.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the local man said it's all about solving problems through different ways: "Our skills, connections and knowledge can help generate multiple revenue streams for start ups, charities and sports clubs.
"At the moment we're actually working with Limerick Down Syndrome, offering them their own business, service users are barista trained, and I myself was in Limerick delivering workshops.
"A key part of what we do for these groups is the fundraising element whether it be a charity, Gaelic clubs, social enterprises or community groups, they are now learning new skills as well as generating revenue streams. Gaelic clubs have availed of coffee trucks from us to help set up on their grounds which has helped them not only bring in money for the club but it also creates a community space for people to come to the grounds, have a coffee, a catch up or even meet new people so there's a real social aspect to all of this as well."
