A Monaghan man made history recently in America taking on his successful fifth Guinness World record. 12 months ago, Paralympian Shane McLoughlin hadn’t achieved any world record, a year later he has achieved this amazing feat with five in a row. Most recently, Shane pulled a 40 tonne truck in New York with a core mission of seeing the sport being recognised in the 2028 Paralympics in LA. He said from day one, it was always the plan to highlight truck pulling as a sport and see it being recognised in the Paralympics.
