Monaghan people encouraged to participate in National Spring Clean

Monaghan County Council is encouraging people to take part in National Spring Clean Month this April.

Communities across the county are being encouraged to register now and organise local clean-ups.

This aims to help make towns and villages across Monaghan cleaner, greener and litter free.

Nationally, more than 5,000 groups took part last year, collecting an estimated 2,700 tonnes of litter.

All groups registered with the National Spring Clean are invited to enter the Monaghan Spring Clean Competition for a chance to win a €500 prize.

Entries for this will close on Friday May 15th.
