Monaghan senator calls for return of direct bus services to Dublin

A Monaghan senator has called for the return of direct bus services between Monaghan and Dublin.

The timetable change for the Expressway 32 saw the introduction of a new midnight departure from Letterkenny, serving Monaghan at 2am, as well as a new late night departure from Dublin at 00:15.

While this news has been welcomed, Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher believes more regular services between Monaghan and Dublin are needed.

He says these services would be vital for people who need to attend work or hospital appointments in the early morning.
