A Monaghan hair and beauty salon has won the title of Ulster Hair Salon of the Year for the second year in a row and, this year, has also been named Overall Salon of the Year.
J'adore Hair and Beauty on Glaslough Streeet, Monaghan Town, is owned by Orla Lavery who said winning two years in a row and also taking home the overall prize is "an absolutely amazing achievement" for a Monaghan salon. J'adore will be open 10 years next month and Orla said the double awards this year is further recognition from her industry and a testament to a decade of "extremely hard work".
Although Orla was unable to attend the glitzy awards ceremony and will have to delay J'adore's 10th birthday celebrations for now due to a "health setback" she "fully intends to celebrate both the birthday and her recovery with clients, friends and family soon." Ms Lavery contacted Northern Sound to thank all her amazing clients because without them, she said J'adore wouldn't have won.
