A Co Monaghan based man has highlighted the need for public transport services on both sides of border to come together in providing one internal public transport company.
Denis O'Higgins lives in Monaghan and is a frequent user of public transport both North and South of the border.
Despite this, Mr O'Higgins says he is "not happy" that Bus Eireann does not display Ulster Bus timetables and schedules at depots, especially with cost of living pressures, the local man believes more cooperation and coordination is needed.
According to Denis, there's no written indication that Ulster Bus services come and go from Monaghan bus station and Busáras.
He says Ulster Bus seems to be "completely left out" and he can't understand as it should be about what the best interests of the travelling public is.
A statement issued by Bus Eireann following a query put forward by the Joe Finnegan Show claimed that the NTA is in discussions with Translink Northern Ireland about the potential to display Northern Ireland bus services and schedules in the NTA's live app and on relevant bus stop displays.
Speaking on today's Joe Finnegan Show, the Monaghan resident welcomed Bus Eireann's response and has called for better coordination between the two State companies.
