A motorbike, which was stolen from County Wicklow, was stopped by Cavan Gardaí in Mullagh yesterday.
When the rider did a u-turn on sight of a garda patrol in the Cavan town yesterday, gardai gave pursuit and the bike eventually stopped. Officers found the motorbike was on false plates and the chassis number showed it was stolen from a house in Blessington, Co. Wicklow in September 2023.
On top of this, gardaí discovered the driver was serving a six-year disqualification and was using the road without insurance and valid tax. The driver was subsequently arrested.
