€50,000 has been secured to bring the Mullaghmatt Forest Mountain Bike Trail to planning stage.
Design consultants have been appointed and work is ongoing, alongside environmental studies and consultations with user groups.
Monaghan County Council is also exploring an off road link between Mullaghmatt Forest and Rossmore Forest.

It's anticipated that there will be further opportunities for funding to support construction and improved signage.
