Multiple gorse fires break out in West Cavan

Firefighters are tackling a number of gorse fires that have broken out across West Cavan this afternoon. Gorse fires have been reported on Bawn mountain and on the Glan Gap.

Fire crews from Belturbet and Ballyconnell are in attendance to extinguish the fire. The fire on Bawn mountain can be seen from up to 10kms away.
