Fontaines DC have won the RTÉ Choice Music Album of the Year Award. The band includes Monaghan man Conor Curley and it’s the fourth time the group have picked up the prestigious prize.
The winners were revealed at a live awards ceremony in Vicar Street in Dublin last night for the 20th annual RTÉ Choice Music Prize ceremony which celebrated the best in Irish recorded music.
Conor who is from Tyholland who is a past pupil of St Macartan's College is on tour in Australia with the band. This latest award comes in the same week the quintet won the International Group of the Year at the Brit Awards for the second time.
