Cavan-Monaghan TD, Brendan Smith has received confirmation from the Minister of State for Special Education, Michael Moynihan that formal approval has now been issued for the provision of an ASD class at St Mary's National School, Ballyhaise. Deputy Smith says over the years "we've all been advocating strongly" for the provision of additional classes for children with additional needs.
According to the local TD, vver recent weeks more than 16 additional classes have now been approved across Cavan and Monaghan to commence in the next school year. Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Smith welcomed the funding approval for St Mary's National School in Ballyhaise.
