The deputy principal for the new Monaghan Community Special School has been appointed.
Ms Majella Nugent from Keady in Co.Armagh will take up the role when the new school opens.
She holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from St. Mary's University College Belfast and a Master's in Special Educational Needs and Inclusion from the University of Birmingham
She also holds Postgraduate qualifications in Blended Learning and Educational Leadership from Stranmillis University College, Belfast.
Ms Nugent has also contributed significantly to curriculum development as a Professional Associate with CCE and coordinated specialist training initiatives at Middletown Centre for Autism.
She says she's delighted to take up the role, calling it a rare and exciting opportunity to build a school from the ground up.
