Plans for a family resource centre in Carrickmacross has a moved a step closer.
Minister Niamh Smyth says the sanctioning of the service in the town maybe within days away.
The local representative says the town of Carrickmacross is a growing location that needs a centre. She also revealed the new location will create three fulltime jobs in the town.
Last August, Minister Norma Foley announced that a family resource centre would be opened in South Monaghan. The Minister for Children, Disability and Equality will be in the region tomorrow as she visits Cavan and Monaghan. Minister Smyth says they are on the verge of announcing a location in Carrickmacross.
