A new state of the art fire station which was recently opened in Ballybay will "help save lives."
That's according to Cavan-Monaghan TD Cathy Bennett.
The new €3.4 million fire station which is located the Cootehill-Shercock road was officially opened by Minister for Local Government James Browne.
Deputy Bennett said that this modern facility represents a major investment in emergency response capability and firefighter welfare.
Deputy Bennett said she was "delighted" to see that it has eventually come to fruition.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the Sinn Fein representative said this new facility is a "necessity" and it "will save lives."
