There are nine patients waiting on trolleys at Cavan General Hospital this morning.
The figure was released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation who tally the number of people waiting for treatment in hospitals across the country every day.
All of the nine Cavan patients in Cavan are waiting on trolleys in the emergency department. There are no patients without a bed in wards elsewhere in the facility. Nationally, 440 people are in hospitals awaiting treatment from a trolley.
